Here is an idea that I haven’t fully thought out, but I’m putting it out there.
Let’s say you are the kind of person who, when eating in a restaurant, doesn’t like the presence of families with noisy kids nearby. Why not try going out for dinner on Halloween? In theory, parents with children are going door-to-door getting treats, so restaurants should be less busy.
I’ve never tried it myself, but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work. It’s just an idea, so don’t call me a Grinch — that’s for someone who doesn’t like Christmas.

Good luck with your new tradition. May no cheerios or goldfish crackers be thrown your way.

Ha ha! I’m actually good with families at restaurants. I came up with the idea while listening to coworkers talk about their plans for October 31st.

Well, if this is going to turn into a real tradition (maybe like non-Christians eating at Chinese restaurants on X-Mas Day) then I guess I will have to accept “Grinch” — especially if people use smiley faces with their comments. (And for the record, I said it was an idea AND I didn’t eat dinner at a restaurant that night. I did go to a pet store and it was less busy.)
