Much of the injustice in the world is just quietly accepted. Sometimes the injustice is far away, so it is easy to ignore. Sometimes the injustice has been going on so long, people are accustomed to it. And, sometimes people just feel powerless to do anything about what they clearly see as wrong.

Inaction is not acceptable.

Small steps, no matter how small, are always needed. If the body is forced to accept inequality, let the mind stand firm. If it is possible to support someone else, someone who can say or do something, then that is what must be done. Even if the support is in secret, it can have profound emotional benefits to the person who receives it.

This old saying should be the guide: It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness!
